How can I add a user to the SportSuite system?
Firstly, you need to go to the SportSuite Dashboard and click on 'CSP Admin', then you need to select 'Manage Users' and click on 'Create User'. Secondly, fill out the details including the users name and email address and set them a password to use and then click the 'Save' button to finish. Finally, the user will receive an email telling them they now have an account on your site. You should encourage them to log in, update their profile and change their password.
How can I ghost a user?
Sometimes it can help to see what the user sees e.g. if they need help with something on your site – as such it is possible to "ghost" as a user. Firstly:
Go to Dashboard > SportSuite Admin > User Management.
Secondly, click the Ghost label next to their name/email – you are now effectively logged in as that user and seeing what they see. To stop ghosting, click the Logout link at the top of the screen, this will return you to your own account/privileges.
How can I link a user to a SportSuite Club, Organisation, etc?
Once you are on a users profile, on their profile page under Clubs & Organisation, click either the "why not add one" link or the Link to Club/Organisation button (which you see will depend on whether the user is already linked with an organisation). Furthermore, you can use the search to find/select the organisation (club, etc) you want to link this user with. Next, tick the relevant boxes to define their relationship(s) to this organisation, ff you wish to grant this user Admin rights (the ability to manage this organisation's profile and add activities) select "Yes" under "Is Organisation Admin?", click Save to complete the process. This user is now linked to the organisation, club, etc – it will appear in their profile under clubs and organisation's.
How can I manage internal volunteer opportunities?
When adding specific roles to a volunteer opportunity you have the option to restrict applications to a certain user group in SportSuite Core. For example you may have a role which you only want your leadership academy to apply for. Then if the user clicks the 'apply now' button and for whatever reason they do not meet the requirements, or are not in a particular user group then they will not be able to apply for the role. Once a user has submitted an application the admin who set up the opportunity will receive a notification in their dashboard. Next, on the opportunities page click the 'view applications' button to view any application that have been submitted. All applications will then appear and you are able to view each application individually or download all as an excel file. If you have SportSuite forms then you are also able to use this application process to create a register for the event on the day, and mark attendance of the volunteers. Once you have reviewed an application, you can send them a personalised response through the system and set their status as successful, pending, or unsuccessful.
How do migrated users login to SportSuite?
When a user goes to the website, both the login / register forms will detect if they already exist in our system. They can add their email address to the login page (leave the password blank), and if the user is in the system they will be prompted to create a password. If not, they will be redirected to the registration screen.
